Remember when we high school students were so exasperated that AP tests took THREE WHOLE HOURS? Then there were those days that the only thing we didn't like about school was how weird the fruit punch tasted. And until seventh grade, there was this wonderful thing called recess. 15 minutes of mandatory outside play.
And no one was ever worried about the M word, just cooties.
Those were the days when we didn't think about the future. Not about global warming, obesity, politics... GERMS.
There was no "picking what you will be - for your ENTIRE LIFE" pressure. It was easy. Doctor, lawyer, or firefighter.
I just finished taking a 45-minute midterm, and couldn't help remembering. I don't mind worrying about politics and all that now, I'm just sayin'. Those were the days.
